Easter Rising Commemoration
The Irish American Unity Conference in conjunction with Minnesotans for a United Ireland and Irish Network Minnesota is having a Commemoration for the 110th Anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising. We are also trying to raise funds for “Turas” and “Scoil na Seolta”. Turas is a community outreach program and Scoil na Seolta is a school. Both are promoting and teaching the Irish language in the protestant/Unionist community of East Belfast. Join us at the Dubliner Pub, 2162 University Ave in St Paul on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 1 to 3 PM. Announcing IN MN’s 2026 Literary Award
As a highlight of our annual Bloomsday Festival, Irish Network Minnesota organizes a Literary Award Contest. This year, we are inviting published authors of fiction from Minnesota, Ireland, and the United Kingdom to take part in this exciting opportunity. Submissions are open from January 1, 2026 to June 13, 2026 The entries will be judged on: Award: $1,000. The judges’ decisions will be finalized by June 13, 2026, with the announcement of the winner at Irish Network MN’s 9th Annual Bloomsday Festival, Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at the Dubliner Pub. Dropkick Murphys Aid Concert
Join Irish Network MN on March 6th! Dropkick Murphys will perform a free, acoustic memorial concert in Minneapolis on March 6, 2026, at 1 p.m. in the Black Forest Inn parking lot ( 26th and Nicollet Ave). This event honors Alex Pretti and Renée Good and serves as a fundraiser for local efforts. A big thank you Martin Davies O’Connor, Kieran Frazier Knutson, Mark Kocourek and the Dropkick Murphys .

Step back in time with Whoosh!, a powerful ghost story written and performed by Andrew Erskine Wheeler that breathes life into Minnesota’s complex past. Irish of Minnesota Exhibition by Tom Dunn

Through thoughtful, intimate photography, Dunn highlights the personal connections and cultural traditions that shape Minnesota’s Irish community. Come on out and join Irish Network Minnesota and the Irish Gazette as we march in the St Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Saint Paul at noon, Monday March 17, 2025 beginning at Rice Park and ending at Mears Park.
