    Hardship to Hope: James Hack Tuke, Archbishop Ireland and the Irish Emigration of the 1800s

    On Thursday, November 17, the Center for Irish Studies, and St. Thomas Libraries will co-host the Center for Irish Studies Fall 2022 Symposium. Originally distinguished as the first public event on campus that was cancelled in 2019 because of the pandemic, the Center and University Libraries are delighted to host three well-known scholars – Jane Kennedy, Leslie Thomas, and Charlie Heyman. The event will include the exhibition, “Fleeing from the Famine,” curated by Dr. Gerard Moran (National University of Ireland – Galway) and Dr. Christine Kinealy (Quinnipiac University).     St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2022

    3/26/22 Join Irish Network MN Thursday, March 17th at the St Patrick’s Day Parade in downtown Saint Paul from 12 – 1:30 PM. Parade route this year starts in Rice Park (5th St & Market St) and will travel along 5th Street, ending near Mears Park (5th St & Sibley St). St. Paul St. Patrick’s day Association and Guinness are hosting a party in CHS Field at the end of the route to celebrate the return of the parade in 2022! See you there!

    March Out Hunger

    Help Irish Network Minnesota, Extended Exposure and Minnesota Food Share this March to end hunger in Minnesota! In the Spirit of Saint Patrick, we would like your help to fight Hunger. The Irish, who are no strangers to hunger, are once again excited to join this year’s effort to March Out Hunger during the month of March. Minnesota Food Share has a Campaign to March Out Hunger. It is a statewide, grassroots food-drive, in which, every dollar donated goes to local food shelves.
