March Out Hunger
Help Irish Network Minnesota, Extended Exposure and Minnesota Food Share this March to end hunger in Minnesota! In the Spirit of Saint Patrick, we would like your help to fight Hunger. The Irish, who are no strangers to hunger, are once again excited to join this year’s effort to March Out Hunger during the month of March. Minnesota Food Share has a Campaign to March Out Hunger. It is a statewide, grassroots food-drive, in which, every dollar donated goes to local food shelves. 1/28/22 Board Members met last evening to begin planning for our 2022 – Bloomsday Festival! Join Irish Network MN on Thursday, June 16, 2022 for our 5th annual Bloomsday Festival. Join Irish Network Minnesota for our 4th Annual Bloomsday Festival. This year’s virtual event will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 7:30 PM. Collection for The Midway Food and Empowerment Project
There are many neighborhood cleanups, food drives, and community groups needing donations in the wake of George Floyd’s death. The Midway Project aims to collect and distribute food and resources to the midway area community on an ongoing basis. 2020 Distinguished Irish Women
The Saint Paul St Patrick’s Association has many dignitaries, Mr Pat, Miss Shamrock and the distinguished Irish Woman of the year. The 2020 Distinguished Irish Woman is actually four remarkable local women, Jane, Brigid, Kate and Rita-the McDonald sisters who are mainstays in local activist circles. They have been working on behalf of peace and social justice for the past 50 years. For decades, they helped keep the weekly Wednesday night protests on the Lake Street Bridge going.
