Aer Lingus direct – Dublin to MSP
Irish Network MN was on hand to celebrate Aer Lingus’ inaugural service to Minneapolis-St. Paul. The new Minneapolis – St. Paul – Dublin service will initially operate six times weekly, and by August 2019 will increase to a daily, year-round service.

Irish Network Minnesota’s 3rd Annual Bloomsday Festival This year Irish Network Minnesota is partnering with the Fitzgerald in St. Paul group (a nonprofit organization devoted to celebrating author F. Scott Fitzgerald) to celebrate Fitzgerald’s good friend James Joyce and his epic book, Ulysses. What is Bloomsday? Want to learn more? Fr McCabe Memorial
Memorial to be placed and dedicated to Father Patrick McCabe The Fenian Memorial Committee of America is working to erect a memorial stone at the grave of Father Patrick McCabe (1827-1899) of, Arnaghan, Lough Gowna, Co. Cavan, who was instrumental in the escape of the great Fenian, John Boyle O’Reilly and six military Fenians from Fremantle Prison in Western Australia to America aboard the whaling vessel the Catalpa which sailed from New Bedford, Massachusetts to rescue them and bring them to New York, before they dispersed to different parts of the U.S. All funds raised will go towards the memorial for Father McCabe, who is buried in St. Mary Cemetary…

St Patrick’s Day 2019
March Out Hunger (MOH) at the Saint Paul St Patrick’s Day Parade! March 16, 2019, beginning at noon, join Irish Network Minnesota and our partners March Out Hunger and the Irish Gazette as we support our local food shelves at this year’s 53rd annual St. Patrick’s Day. Bring your food or monetary donation to the parade and look for the green Finnegans Reverse Food Truck along the parade route as we march along to collect your donations! Annually Irish Network MN teams with the St Patrick’s Association and Minnesota Food Share to march out hunger. About Bloomsday
Bloomsday is named after the central character in James Joyce’s book Ulysses, Leopold Bloom. The story follows Bloom as he goes to appointments, enjoys meals, conversations and wanderings around the city of Dublin on Thursday 16 June 1904. It is celebrated both in Dublin, around the world and in St Paul, Minnesota! When James Joyce published his story of a day in the life of Leopold Bloom in 1922, it was considered scandalous. It was declared obscene in the United States until 1933. The novel has been called all-inclusive, because it explores every human feeling or activity imaginable. The short list includes sex, politics, parenting, death, religion, sado-masochism and xenophobia.…
