2025 Literary Award

As part of our Bloomsday Festival each year, Irish Network Minnesota holds a Literary Award Contest. This year, the contest invites published authors of children’s books from Minnesota, Ireland, and the United Kingdom to participate.

Submissions are open from January 1, 2025 to June 10, 2025

The entries will be judged on:

  • Celtic subject matter, viewpoint or context
  • Unique writing style
  • Creativity

Submission guidelines:

If you have a published children’s story and wish to participate in our contest, please send an electronic copy of your work in either PDF or Word format to [email protected]

IN MNs 1st Literary Arts Award winner in 2021 was poet and advocate Ethna McKiernan, 2nd award winner for fiction was Brian Molloy for his book “After Francesco” and our 3rd annual award winner for non-fiction was Bill Watkins for “A Celtic Childhood”. Our award winner last year was Mark Connor for his poetry work “It’s About Time (Millions of Copies Sold for Dad)”.
