Presented as a partnership with Irish Fair of Minnesota, Minnesotan’s for a United Ireland, the Irish Gazette, the Communications Workers of America Local 7250, the St Paul’s St Patrick’s Day Parade Association and the Dubliner Pub.

More than 100,000 people attended the funeral of the first hunger striker to die, Bobby Sands. His life, death, and election to British Parliament attracted worldwide attention. The deaths of these 10 men galvanized public opinion and eventually resulted in the Good Friday Agreement of 1998, ending years of unrest in Northern Ireland, and today sees Sinn Fein as the most popular party both sides of the border.
